A big mistake many people make when they make the decision to get in shape is that they forget to identify where they are starting from. Before you ever start your training and nutrition programme it is critical that you are perfectly clear on where you are starting from and why you need to leave that place.

Everyone has such different needs, skills, and targets that an approach to resume development that might work for one person might be completely ineffective for another (e.g. creating a resume for a dentist versus creating a resume for a college professor), and
The nature of jobs and/or geographic or regional locations can be vastly different from one another thus necessitating completely different approaches to creating a resume (e.g. creating a resume for a financial executive targeting a Wall Street atmosphere versus creating a resume for a financial executive targeting a small town atmosphere).
There are certainly other factors that play into the nuances of resume development.
But, having said this, there ARE a few steps that WILL be effective for everyone - regardless of how it finally all pulls together for each individual resume. The following three tips for writing a resume can be used by anyone in any field. Remember - these are starting points.

Tip #1: Regardless of who you are, you must decide on the precise position you are going for - and where.
For example: "I am targeting the position of Assistant Manager for Joe's Food Market." Or: "I am targeting the position of Director of Human Resources for Acme Manufacturing."
These types of statements are far more precise than "Management Position," or "Human Resources Position." They are also more powerful, and if you come across - right from the get-go - as someone who knows exactly what he or she is looking for, you'll be more likely to grab the hiring director's attention.
Also, once you know exactly what it is you are shooting for, it will be easier to determine what is needed on the job, and how you can fill that need.
Tip #2: It's not time to jump into creating a resume just yet! Now that you know the job you really want, you must conduct research. Learn everything you can about the target company and what is really required of the job. I really cannot stress that enough.

So, talk to anyone you can find in the industry or company and learn everything you can about them. What's their mission statement? Their goals? Is their mission and/or goals in line with yours (Translate: Do you feel that the company would be a good match for you? And vice versa?) Can you find articles about the company?
Thanks to the internet, researching a company is a lot easier than it used to be! And when you begin creating a resume, the information you gather will help you accomplish a number of things:
You'll know what their needs really are.
You'll get a feel for the personality of the company and whether or not it suits yours.
You'll learn certain "keywords" or buzzwords that they prefer.
You'll also get a "gut feeling" if you are the one for the job.
Tip #3: Once you have done your "company discovery" it is time to list what you've learned that they need: skill by skill, and need by need. Next to, or just under each point, you can now fill in a few skills, accomplishments, or other ideas that you have that match each of these.

3 Fast and Easy Ways to Jump Start Your Weight Loss Program
If your weight loss program is not going as strongly and working as quickly as you would like you can jump start your plan by following a few quick and easy tips. This article gives you the step-by-step process to jump starting your weight loss program.
If you have been overweight and inactive for a long period of time you might find that your body doesn't lose weight very easily. Likewise if you have been losing successfully but you are now finding that your weight loss is slower than before you might need to recharge your body's ability to lose.
These tips will help you:
1. Cut carbs after lunch. Your body will turn to the most readily available and easiest energy source it can find and carbohydrates are usually your body's first choice. The problem with this is that when there is a steady stream of carbs coming in through your diet your body has no need to burn body fat for energy. Therefore, limit your carbs in the afternoon and evening and your body will begin to burn body fat more efficiently helping you lose the weight.
2. Cut out refined carbohydrates for the next two weeks. Here again they are a much too easy of a source of energy for your body and your body will neglect body fat but they also cause your insulin levels to spike making it more difficult for your body to burn fat.
3. Eat small meals and snacks throughout the day. Space out your meals to keep your insulin levels steady. Three meals and two snacks a day work well.

Some of the better commercial soil mixes on the market today include Redi-Earth, Jiffy Mix, Pro-Mix. Check more out on your own if you can't get your hands of these names.
Another option you may have is to make your own soil mix by "lightening" it with sand or peat moss. To make one of the best soil mixes today blend together four quarts of vermiculite or perlite, four quarts of shredded peat moss or sphagnum, two level tablespoons of ground limestone, and four level tablespoons of 5-10-10 fertilizer.
If you are an avid gardener like I am, you need more soil than the above formula gives you. To make a larger batch of soil, mix two bales of peat moss, three four-cubic-foot bags of vermiculite, six pounds 5-10-10 fertilizer, two pounds superphosphate, and five pounds agricultural lime. To mix this, shovel roughly mixed ingredients from one cone-shaped pile to another, adding each shovelful to top of the pile and allowing the soil to tumble down the sides of the cone. This is how the greenhouses here in Canada make their soil mixtures for their bedding plants.
If you're like me and don't really want to measure and fool around with this stuff - it's time consuming; simply mix one part loam, one part clean sand or perlite, and one part leaf mold or moist peat. This is the one that I use and it ensures that I can make as much as I want based on how big I make my parts.
You hear a lot about sterilizing soil, but have you ever tried to do this? Let's face it, as with sterilization in everything, sterilizing soil kills off weed seeds and potentially harmful disease organisms, but it is a messy job. Large quantities of soil can be fumigated with methyl bromide, chloropicrin, and other similar chemicals. Just follow the manufacturer's directions on the label.
When I do sterilize soil, I usually put the soil in a shallow tray (I found an old roaster and use this roaster exclusively for this purpose) and bake at 350F., for about 1 ½ hours. It stinks though. Some containers that are less shallow may take less time. In order to test the soil, place a potato in the soil; when it is done, the soil is ready. Remember you are not cooking your dirt, you are sterilizing it, so never overcook.
Now, this one I have never tried, but know some people that do this: thoroughly soak soil and bake at 275F., until the surface begins to cake (about 1 hour). Or place the soil in a fine-mesh sieve and pour boiling water through it. When the water running through the soil gets very hot, the soil is sterile.
Sterilizing soil is not always necessary, but I do like to sterilize soil that has been infested with spider mites as a precaution to ensure that the spider mites don't spread to my other plants (especially house plants).

It seems as if there are a million things to consider when developing a new business venture. But does your family have the right to be considered in the process? Of course they do, but rarely do they receive equal consideration to finances, business potential, or our own personal desire to achieve success.
If your family (spouse, children, parents) aren't on board with you one hundred percent, at some point you, your business, and/or your family will bear the consequences. New businesses require a tremendous amount of time and nurturing to develop and become successful; time that is taken from elsewhere, often from the family. Unless you're starting a "family" business where all members are participants, someone will inevitably feel left out, or neglected. Our family members don't always share the same dream as we do. Their priorities may be something far from business success.
To make sure our families don't suffer due to our own ambitions, before you pursue your dream business, sit down with them and discuss the following:
o Will the business venture take away from quality time spent with family members? If so, how much is acceptable to all involved?
o Will the new business be initially funded or supported using family monies? If so, will this put a financial strain on the family?
o Do all family members agree this is a potentially successful business idea?
o Do all family members realize that most new businesses do not succeed?
o If the business is not showing signs of becoming successful, what operational time period will the family tolerate before the business is considered a failure and should be sold or closed down?
o If the new business fails, what is the alternative plan for income? Some of the questions listed above may not have obvious answers until the business has started up and operated for some period of time. Since circumstances may vary regularly with new business, plan to review this list with the family about every six months to see what situations may have changed.
Your family needs to be in total support of your new business idea, or somewhere and at some point, somebody will suffer. Consider whether your "big idea" is worth the possibility of distancing yourself from your loved ones, or even the finality of a possible divorce. Business owners with complete family support stand a much greater chance of success. Talk to your family and trust in their opinion.
